The Antechinus
« on: October 17, 2013, 11:38:47 AM »
I will never forgot the day I first saw an Antechinus the worlds smallest kangaroo I couldn't believe my eyes; it was about an inch high but I thought it might be disceased as it testicals were half as big as it was.

I was wrong it was a healthy male.

Today I found out it would be dead in a few days. if doormat hadn't caught it. Right up through the marsupial range there are some interesting ways a male passes on his genes.

As soon as a male antechinus male reaches pubity his testicals swell to about half his size he then goes on an intense orgy of sex till he dies of exhaustion at about eight months this means half the population die leaving the pregnant females plenty of food to continue his line.
